Acapulco preparing to host the 48th edition of Mexico’s Tianguis Turístico fair

The Mexican Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) announced that, as part of the recovery of the port of Acapulco, everything is ready to host the 48th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México fair, which will take place from April 8 to 12.

In the run-up to one of the most important tourism fairs in Latin America, the Organizing Committee of the Tianguis Turístico México 2024 held a productive meeting offering the final details of the event.

It was announced that this edition of the Tianguis Turístico will see an important complementary program in addition to its usual business meetings, which will include keynote lectures, an award ceremony for Product Innovation and the Best of Mexico Awards, meetings with the academic community and the passing of the baton to the state of Baja California, among others.

It was also announced that, up until March 22, 682 companies, 1,162 buyers and 41 countries had confirmed their participation in the fair, including Mexico and its 32 states, as well as 1,625 exhibitors from 930 companies.

It was recalled that, within the framework of the most important tourism event in Mexico, there will be a rich academic program, designed to promote the rebirth of a tourist destination after a natural disaster.

The organizers noted that, with the aim of promoting and raising awareness of the importance of the inclusion of people with disabilities in the tourism sector, Tianguis Turístico México 2024 will be the fourth fully inclusive event.
