The findings of the famous Olmec Heads of Mexico are shown today in a photographic exhibition in the Chinese municipality of Chongqing, in salute to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries.

The expo will remain until the next day 29 in the museum A of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of said metropolis.

The event is called Colossal Heads of the Gulf of Mexico, it also has a virtual version and was prepared by the embassy of that country here, together with the National Institute of Anthropology and History of that nation, the Federation and other Chinese entities.

The exhibition is part of the photographic exhibition “Mexico from all angles, an ever-living past”, it also celebrates half a century of diplomatic ties between the two states.

The purpose is to bring the legacy of the Olmec civilization, the mother culture of all those that flourished in the Latin American nation, closer to the Chinese public.
