Cuban airline resumes flights to Jamaica, a move for tourism promotion Aerogaviota airlines Cuban state-owned national airline Aerogaviota, resumed regular flights to Jamaica on Monday September 4th after a yearlong hiatus due to COVID-19 related issues according to officials as reported by The Observer. The airline’s return of flights is to the southern Caribbean and evidently Jamaica is included according to Fermin Quinones Sanchez, Cuba’s ambassador to Jamaica, to the Observer, adding that promoting tourism is a part of the agenda. “The airline will work directly with Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism to promote tourism which will be of much benefit to the people of Cuba and Jamaica. We are hoping that there will be positive benefits from the return of Aerogaviota,” the ambassador said.
