Film at the heart of Cuba’s Europe Month By Daily Pérez Guillén Film will take center stage as part of the second edition of Europe Month, a multicultural and multinational event that will take place in Cuba between April 9 and May 9, the date on which Europe Day is celebrated. The program includes a broad and representative sample of more than 25 films, presenting diverse aesthetics, themes and settings, originating in the majority of the countries that make up the European Union. This year, the Isle of Youth will host the “Isla Verde” (Green Island) International Film and Environment Festival of the Caribbean for the second time, running April 21 through 27, chaired by Cuban actor Jorge Perugorría, recently awarded the National Film Prize.
