UN launches the global initiative 'Tourism: Food for Good' UN Tourism, in collaboration with the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development (CRSD) at the University of Cambridge and the TUI Care Foundation, has launched the global initiative "Tourism: Food for Good." This joint project aims to fundamentally redesign how food is produced, supplied, and consumed in the tourism sector. The main goal of the initiative is to co-create an impact roadmap to establish sustainable food systems that strengthen local economies, reduce food waste, and contribute to food security through the redistribution of surpluses. It also seeks to reduce the sector's carbon footprint and support more resilient development, especially in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
