Resort, hotel, festival, and travel highlights for 2024 Tourism in the Caribbean is on a steady rise, and there is a lot of travel news for resorts, renovations, reopenings, expanded flight service, and upcoming festivals in the region. During the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s State of the Tourism Industry Conference in October, travel ministers and leaders from 14 countries shared some of the biggest highlights for the year ahead. UN Tourism Secretary-General outlines plans to boost job creation in the Caribbean UN Tourism Secretary-General, His Excellency Zurab Zurab Pololikashvili UN Tourism Secretary-General H.E. Zurab Pololikashvili has outlined plans to boost job creation and investment in the Caribbean’s tourism industry. Mr. Pololikashvili was a keynote speaker during the just concluded 2nd Global Tourism Resilience Day Conference at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
