The Hotel Nacional de Cuba won the World Travel Awards for the 21st time, confirming its status as the leading hotel in the country’s hotel industry.
A message published this Monday by the management of the iconic hotel noted that the month of October “comes loaded with surprises when the hotel’s heart beats stronger than ever,” celebrating the fact that the World Travel Awards recognized it, for the 21st time, as “Cuba’s Leading Hotel.”
For the hotel team, the award represents “more than a prize, it is an embrace of tradition, a recognition of the dedication of a team that feels this palace is their own, and profound gratitude to every traveler who has placed their dreams in us.”
This recognition comes as the hotel approaches its 95th anniversary, reaffirming its position as the flagship hotel for its luxury, history, and the presence of numerous celebrities from around the world.
Luis Miguel Díaz Sánchez, director general of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, stated: “This award represents the twenty-first time our hotel has received this honor, reaffirming the excellence and commitment we maintain in the national tourism sector. Receiving this award for so many consecutive years fills us with pride, as the World Travel Awards are recognized worldwide as the most prestigious honors program in travel and tourism.”
The distinction was presented during the 2025 World Travel Awards Caribbean and North America Gala Ceremony, held on October 3 at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian resort.
