Air Europa to maintain operations to Havana and grateful to customers and collaborators

This Wednesday, the Havana bureau of the Air Europa airline held a friendly meeting with the press and major clients who contribute to company’s development in this Caribbean archipelago.
Raúl Álvarez Guerra, commercial director of the office in the Cuban capital, thanked those present for their loyalty, close relations and support, built up over several years.
“We are doing very well in Cuba. Occupancy percentages have remained strong and we are strongly committed to both our economy class and our business class, which is prestigious and very comfortable. We have clients from different spheres: embassies, corporate, and despite the fact that several airlines fly to Cuba, we maintain a high occupancy rate,” the director assured TTC during an exchange at the Vitrola Social Club restaurant.
Álvarez Guerra added that Air Europa will continue its daily operations to Havana both in low and high season. “That difference is not so marked in our company because we have an ethnic segment that is maintained. We are also greatly enriched by events; many agreements are made for participation in these cases. In low season, we secure more than 70% occupancy. Due to certain circumstances, we may have one less frequency, but in general we will maintain flights seven days a week with 330 capacity.”
“We are committed to continue being a state-of-the-art company. We cover our operations to Havana with Boeing 787 aircraft and for certain circumstances that may arise we operate maintenance flights in agreement with other companies. We carry out our operations punctually,” he commented.
Air Europa is a Spanish airline founded in 1984 and currently ranks among the most important airlines in Spain, where it has its main hub at Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez airport. The company is part of the SkyTeam alliance and operates flights to more than 70 destinations in Europe, North America, South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
At the beginning of the year, Air Europa announced a 5% increase in its seat offer in view of the increase in sales for the first quarter of 2024. The considerable growth in operations, both in Europe and the Americas, is part of the objectives set out in the company’s Strategic Plan, with which it is consolidating its key role at Madrid-Barajas airport. From this position, the airline is promoting transatlantic connectivity.
