Known by both Cubans and foreigners, two places in Havana have been selected within a list of the 50 most legendary cocktail bars in the world.

The ranking, carried out by the Taste Atlas platform this November, places Bar Floridita at number 1, while La Bodeguita del Medio occupies position 18.

Of course, accompanying these emblematic places are the identifying cocktails of each of them, the Mojito and the Daiquirí, thanks to which they are internationally recognized.

In addition to Cuba, the list includes other bars from countries such as the United States, France, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Mexico and Puerto Rico, among others.

The official Taset Atlas website acknowledges that “some cocktail bars have become legendary, known for their iconic status, traditional recipes, award-winning bartenders and high-quality ingredients.”

That is why this selection includes bars that “offer a unique and unforgettable experience for their guests. They transport you to another time and place, where you can enjoy classic cocktails that have been perfected over generations. The bartenders at these bars are masters of their craft and take pride in creating each drink with precision and care.”

Regarding the list, they mention that these facilities “are distinguished by their exceptional age and deep-rooted tradition, their enduring popularity among visitors and an atmosphere that leaves an indelible mark. “They offer a combination of several elements that come together to create a truly memorable and exceptional experience.”

The elements taken into account for the preparation of this list have also been detailed on the platform. These include craftsmanship, exceptional ingredients, unique atmosphere, tradition and history, personalized service, exclusive cocktails, and awards and recognitions.
