‘New Era’ of Travel Takes Spotlight

The Mexican Caribbean deepened its engagement with top North American travel advisors at the Signature 2025 Conference, the annual international gathering hosted by Signature Travel Network, a member-owned cooperative of elite travel agencies and their advisors with over 500 locations globally. Held November 10-13 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, the event brought together more than 2,500 advisors, suppliers and industry professionals for four days of education, networking and strategic business development. This year’s theme, “Evolve,” offered an ideal stage for the Mexican Caribbean Tourism Board to showcase its New Era initiative, a bold destination-wide effort that reflects the shifting interests of today’s travelers. The initiative highlights immersive cultural experiences, expanded accessibility, and flexible itinerary opportunities across the region’s 12 destinations. It also reintroduces the region as a place where travelers can explore authentic culture, innovative cuisine, wellness-focused environments, and diverse natural settings within a single trip.
The Mexican Caribbean Tourism Board’s participation was marked by a strong presence across multiple conference touchpoints, reinforcing the region’s commitment to advisor engagement and long-term trade partnerships. As the host of the event’s Welcome Reception, the Mexican Caribbean brought a vibrant sense of place to Las Vegas.
Attendees were welcomed into a festive atmosphere with a curated menu of regional cuisine, traditional dancers and a lively mariachi performance, introducing the sensory richness of the Mexican Caribbean to thousands of attendees from across the travel industry.

Education remained central throughout the event. The tourism board team led, “It’s Time to Reconnect with the Mexican Caribbean,” a workshop for more than 100 Signature advisors and agency owners. The session detailed the opportunities taking shape through the New Era initiative and introduced the Mexican Caribbean Ambassador Training Program. This new program serves as a comprehensive learning platform that helps advisors deepen their understanding of all 12 destinations, providing essential tools that support more confident selling, informed itinerary planning and stronger value propositions for clients seeking meaningful travel experiences.

These meetings allowed for targeted conversations around itinerary design, destination differentiation and training enrollment, supporting Signature members in offering high-value, customized travel planning. The region’s forward momentum was further amplified during the conference’s General Session, where Ignacio Maza, Senior Advisor at Signature Travel Network, named the Mexican Caribbean among his top recommendations for “Where to Go in 2026.” The endorsement underscored the destination’s continued relevance and appeal within a competitive travel landscape.
