The Cuban government expects by 2023 to continue with the restoration of the national tourism industry with forecasts that arrivals will exceed three million 500 thousand tourists.
The Cuban plans have been reaffirmed this December since the new forecasts based on a gradual recovery of that sector that the Island has registered in 2022 were released.
Sources from that industry in Havana said that international tourist groups interested in including the island in their offers are increasing.

The government has also announced that Spanish hotel chains such as Iberostar, Meliá, Valentín and Barceló continue with their investments in the Caribbean country.
Experts consulted by TTC affirmed that 2022 has been a thriving year for the Cuban tourism sector despite the fact that it did not reach the expected figures.
The National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI), an official body, specified that between January and October there were more than 1.7 million tourists. In 2019 the insular sector was close to four million 500 thousand arrivals.
The 2023 Economic Plan of the Cuban Government contemplates foreign currency income from tourism of 1,672 million dollars.
