Iberostar Hotels Cuba focuses on fun and sports in Varadero

The 5-star Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul, the first hotel in Cuba managed solely by a foreign hotel chain, will host the “Dale Agua al Domino” (Mix Up the Dominoes) event. For four days, from April 16 to 19, the event will offer a diverse program combining the traditional Cuban table sport, music, dance, and leisure activities in a sun and beach setting.

Promoted by Iberostar Hotels in Cuba, this event offers an experience package designed for those seeking active vacations with a strong focus on fun. The hotel’s all-inclusive option guarantees participants accommodation, meals, and beverages throughout their stay.

The event kicks off on Thursday, April 16, with a welcome cocktail party featuring music and dancing, as well as VIP check-in for attendees. The afternoon will continue with a sunset aperitif on the beach and dinner at the buffet restaurant with live music. The first night will conclude with a disco night to break the ice.

Friday 17th will be dedicated to strategy and group fun. At 10:00 a.m., a yoga flow session by the sea will kick off the morning. At noon, the Beach Edition Domino Championship will bring together fans of this traditional team game, with prizes and plenty of energy. In the afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., Domino Talks will offer a space for anecdotes and advice from experienced players, with humor and audience participation. At 4:00 p.m., the Mega Foam Party, with a DJ, open bar, and circus acts, will provide the most festive atmosphere, and the day will conclude at 11:00 p.m. with the White Disco Party.

Saturday, April 18 will see the action intensify. Starting at 10:00 a.m., there will be beach stretching, followed at 11:00 a.m. by a beach volleyball tournament with a DJ set and prizes. At 1:00 p.m., the Lightning Domino Challenge will offer fast-paced games with surprise prizes. The afternoon will include a Latin Party by the pool at 4:00 p.m. and a group fitness circuit with a DJ set and house saxophone at 5:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the Blue Lagoon Beach Party, featuring a DJ set, fire show, and surprises.

Sunday, April 19, will offer a day of relaxation in style, with free time to enjoy the beach and the hotel. At 11:00 a.m., the Chill Out Dominoes will offer relaxed games with mojitos and soft music, and participants can request a late check-out until 3:00 p.m.
