At Havana’s Casa de la Amistad, the Caracol S.A. Commercial Enterprise and its Specialized Branch welcomed the Friends and Clients of the Casa del Habano Partagás, attending the 38th edition of this annual event.
More than 200 Cuban cigar aficionados from all over the world are participating in the program, which includes dinners, artistic performances, visits to places of interest, beach and countryside outings, raffles and grand auctions.
Manager of Casa del Habano Partagás, René Valdés, offered the traditional welcome toast. “Everyone is a friend of the Casa; more than friends, we are brothers. I invite you to enjoy a week full of good smoking. May love always prevail among us all. As we always say: Partagás and nothing else,” he expressed before the glasses were raised with Ron Cubay 1870 Extra Añejo, one of the flagship products of Cuba Ron S.A.

In a hall of one of Cuba’s most beautiful residences, an exhibition of cigar memorabilia and other collectibles was inaugurated to commemorate the 180th anniversary of the Partagás brand, with the support of twelve collectors from across the country. Maylet Uranga, president of the Cuban Cigar Collectors Association, and Roberto Delgado, a collector and friend of the Casa del Habano Partagás, presented the exhibition and invited everyone to admire it.
Luis Felipe Canitrot, director of the Caracol Specialized Commercial Branch, told TTC that the number of participants in this event has increased over the last five years, and highlighted the importance of the Casa del Habano Partagás, which generates 40% of the company’s revenue. “More than 90% of the attendees are loyal customers of this event,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Lin Fong Barrueto, marketing director of Caracol S.A., emphasized the importance of the event, the most significant organized by this institution of the Cubasol Business Group. She noted that it has even inspired other events whose main attraction is the enjoyment and history of premium Cuban products such as tobacco, rum and coffee.

Connoisseurs of Habanos cigars from Italy, Brazil and Cuba were also present at the opening night.
