The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism returned to Toronto this week with a message: Canadian travellers don’t have to go far to find everything they’re looking for in a vacation.
On June 24, TravelPulse Canada attended a media reception at Hotel X Toronto, where the Honourable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments, and Aviation, joined Director General Latia Duncombe to promote the latest developments from across the archipelago’s 16 major destinations.
The event followed a similar gathering in Montreal the previous evening.
Warming up the room, Minister Cooper jested, “As you see, we brought the Bahamian sun. We attempted to bring the beach, as well. Air Canada wasn’t having it.”
He continued, “We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Canada. We have had an office in Canada since 1968. We have shared a partnership with Air Canada now for 78 years.”
