BioCubaCafé presents its new Guantánamo 155 coffee at FIHAV 2025

BioCubaCafé S.A. officially launched its new Guantánamo 155 coffee at its stand in the central pavilion of the Havana International Fair 2025.
This coffee commemorates the 155th anniversary of the founding of the villa of Guantánamo and symbolizes the union between cultural heritage and a vision for the future.
Michele Curto, president of BioCubaCafé, praised the work of the farmers who cultivate the coffee beans: “You can’t talk about coffee without the producers, because there is no coffee without the producers,” he stated.
He also noted that this is a 100% Cuban product, grown in the Sierra Cristal mountain range, and produced respecting the cultural heritage and centuries-old traditions associated with its production when coffee arrived in Cuba with French settlers from Haiti.
President of the Guantánamo Municipal Assembly, Idaliena Díaz Casamayor, expressed her gratitude on Biocubacafé dedicating one of its products to the eastern city. “It becomes a kind of symbol that the company positions Guantánamo on the world stage as a blend of traditions, cultural values, and also as a symbol of the value that coffee always adds to the lives of Cubans.”
Packets of Guantánamo 155 contain 125 grams of pure coffee, with a unique character defined by an exclusive blend of 25% Arabica and 75% Robusta beans, resulting in a strong coffee.
Those present were able to sample the coffee accompanied by chocolate bonbons made with cacao from Baracoa. Esther María Alejo Alayón, business specialist at the Havana Confectionery and Flour Derivatives Company (Confihar), explained that these delicacies were handcrafted by master chocolatiers trained at the Latin American School of Chocolate Making of the Food Industry Institute , and are 100% natural, without any additives.
Guantánamo 155 follows the same path as its sister brand, Santiago 510, which is sold through online retailers and Artex stores in certain provinces of the country.
