“Baila en Cuba”: An event for music and dance lovers

Come and dance in the cradle of Son and the rhythms that gave birth to Casino and Salsa! Cuban cultural tourism agency Paradiso invites you to participate in the XVIII World Encounter World Meeting of Casineros and Salseros “Baila en Cuba”.of Casino and Salsa Dancers “Baila en Cuba” (Dance in Cuba).

If you are passionate about Cuban dance and music, this event is an opportunity for you to enjoy this unique experience. For six days, between November 16 and 21, 2025, Havana will become the epicenter of salsa, casino and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Dancers from all over the world will arrive in the capital of the Caribbean country to move their bodies in this “Creative City of Music.”

This XVIII Encounter includes classes on Cuban rhythms (Son, Rumba, Mambo, Cha cha cha and others), taught by prestigious Cuban teachers and dancers; specialized workshops of Yoruba folkloric dances, Guaguancó and Columbia with separate body movements for men and women and choreography.

Participants will also be able to attend nightly shows; live performances with emblematic groups of Cuban popular music in the famous Salón Rosado “Benny Moré” of the Tropical; and enjoy theme nights with live music and DJ sessions.

The dance partners participating in the contest will measure their grace in competitions that will take into account technique and connection. Meanwhile, the casino wheels will be composed of teams of up to 5 couples and the jury will also measure technique and choreographic elements.

Dancers must be over 18 years old, have experience in popular Cuban dance with advanced level in Casino and send a short video showing their dance skills.

The prizes consist of the awarding of the “Bailar en casa del trompo” trophy and a credential to participate in the 2026 edition of Baila en Cuba.
