Caribbean Tourism Experiences Strong 2023 Growth Continuing its positive recovery trend, Caribbean tourism grew in 2023 with an estimated 14.3% increase in international stay-over arrivals to the region, the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has reported. Delivering the “Caribbean Tourism Performance Review 2023” in Bridgetown today, Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary-General of the CTO, shared that last year’s growth was in line with CTO’s forecast for the year, and attributed the outcome to sustained demand for outbound travel from the United States – the Caribbean’s main source market, enhanced tourism-related infrastructure within the destinations, the fulfillment of strategic marketing initiatives, and augmented airlift capacity between the region and its source markets, albeit unevenly distributed among the destinations. Jamaica record breaking tourism earnings

Jamaica record breaking tourism earnings Jamaica’s Tourism industry is on a road to success with a record earning of  USD$1Billion in foreign exchange earnings in the first 2 months of 2024, an increase of 8.5 percent from 2023. This is due to the arrival of 1, 000, 961  visitors in those two months, which is an increase of 15.1 percent from the same period in 2023. Jamaica’s Minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett recently made the announcement at a Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), Caribbean Travel Marketplace pressconference at the Jamaica Tourist Board’s office in Kingston. He expressed that this is unprecedented in jamaica’s tourism history.

Jamaica Reports Record Tourism Figures to Begin 2024 Jamaica hosted one million visitors and earned USD $1 billion in gross foreign exchange earnings in the first two months of 2024, building on a record 2023. The country's Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett made the announcement at a Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace press conference at the Jamaica Tourist Board’s office in Kingston last week. Jamaica saw 611,642 stopover arrivals, which represents a 7.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. The island country also hosted 389,319 cruise passenger arrivals, signaling a 29.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Photo: Vía X Russia has seen the launch of the first production of Danza del Fuego, an original Cuban rum, with the authorization of the state corporation Cuba Ron S.A. Each batch of rum is produced under the supervision of Cuban experts, who accompany all stages of production at Abráu-Diursó, the company reported.
