Anguilla Tourist Board Names Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch as Board Chair The Honorable Cardigan Connor, Minister of Health, Sports and Tourism, has appointed former Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) Director of Tourism, Mrs. Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch as Chair of the ATB's Board of Directors. Connor presented his nominees for the ATB Board of Directors to Premier Cora Richardson-Hodge and the Executive Council for approval prior to the official announcement. The newly appointed Board of Directors will consist of private-sector tourism industry professionals representing accommodations, restaurants, transportation, and events. The members include Merlyn Rogers, a tourism consultant; Merla Halley, General Manager of Quintessence Hotel; Sean Richards, General Manager of Altamer Resort; Miguel Leveret, General Manager of  Blanchards; Likerah Adams, Chairperson of the Boat Racing Association; and Allister Carty, an executive expert in ground transportation. CARICOM advancing with free movement, treaty amendments The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is making strides in regional integration, as leaders push forward with plans for free movement, treaty amendments, and deeper international cooperation. The 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, held in Barbados from 19 to 21 February 2025, reaffirmed the bloc’s commitment to unity and sustainable development amid global uncertainties. One of the most notable outcomes of the meeting was the decision to finalise plans for the free movement of CARICOM nationals by 1 June 2025 for willing countries.
