Although Tulum’s archaeological site ranks among the top five most visited in Mexico, it experienced a 23.6% decline in visitors during the first half of this year compared to the same period last year. In 2023, Tulum received 765,510 visitors, but this year, that number dropped to 585,078. These figures are according to a report by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). According to information obtained by Infotur Dominicano from the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), based on data provided by the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), Arajet emerged as the leading Dominican airline, accounting for 79% of total passenger traffic. Arajet recorded its highest number of passengers transported in a single month since it began operations, with a total of 90,433 passengers, up from 76,000 in June 2024.
