New one-day flight route brings UK travellers closer to Belize’s winter sun

New one-day flight route brings UK travellers closer to Belize’s winter sun A one-day flight will connect more than 20 European cities, including London, to the tropical climate of Belize - just in time for some winter sun. From December 8, Air Canada will offer return flights from London to Belize City via Montreal starting from £611. This new connection makes Belize, which was previously only accessible via an overnight option in the US or Mexico, a more accessible destination for UK travellers. Belize is a compact, politically stable country of an impressive cultural richness and biodiversity. Most places are accessible by car and road signs warn of numerous exotic animals crossing, such as tapirs, jaguars, reptiles and armadillos. Its popularity as a holiday destination is on the rise, helped by a 2022 visit by Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the fact that the former British Honduras still has English as its official language The [...]

Getting there is pretty quick and simple: Guests arriving in Provo can hop a ferry for a 30-minute ride to the islands, then rent a car or hire a driver or taxi upon arrival on North or Middle Caicos. Deep dive on Middle [...]
