Arajet boosts Newark–Santo Domingo flights for holiday season
Dominican airline Arajet announced it will increase flights between Newark International Airport and Santo Domingo’s Las Américas Airport to two daily frequencies during December and January, aiming to better serve the Dominican diaspora during the holiday season. CEO Víctor Pacheco highlighted the New York route as the airline’s most successful, having transported over 16,800 passengers in just seven weeks with a high occupancy rate.
July marked Arajet’s busiest month ever, with more than 140,000 passengers flown across its network. Pacheco emphasized Arajet’s commitment to the U.S. market while expanding its presence in Latin America, adding new routes to Boston, Chicago, Orlando, Córdoba-Punta Cana, and Buenos Aires this fall.
During the Dominican Day Parade in New York, Arajet showcased the country’s tourism appeal and special flight offers via a truck equipped with LED screens, reinforcing its strong connection to the Dominican community abroad.
