Arajet boosts connectivity between Chicago and Punta Cana with a special promotion

Arajet CEO and founder Víctor Pacheco and Dominican Republic Minister of Tourism David Collado presented the country’s strategy in Chicago to enhance connectivity between the city and the Dominican Republic, including more direct flights to Punta Cana and a passenger promotion.

During the road show held by the Ministry of Tourism ( Mitur ) in front of more than 200 travel agents and tour operators, the airline presented an offer under the code “FLYCHICAGO,” offering a 50% discount to passengers who choose to book this route. A series of advantages was also presented to tour operators and travel agents, allowing them to enjoy even greater benefits by sending their clients to the Dominican Republic, particularly to Punta Cana.

They emphasized that the strategic connection not only expands travel options for passengers but also contributes to strengthening tourism, cultural exchange, and economic development between the two destinations, consolidating Arajet as a key player in the Dominican Republic’s international presence.

The inaugural flight is scheduled for November 15, 2025, with three weekly flights departing from Punta Cana International Airport on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It will also connect from O’Hare International Airport to Punta Cana on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Mondays.

The new route represents more than 2,200 weekly seats, connecting passengers from both cities and making Chicago a strategic destination in the Dominican Republic due to its cultural diversity, tourism, and business potential.

“At Arajet, we remain committed to offering new connection opportunities between the Dominican Republic and the United States with competitive fares that make it easier for more people to enjoy our destinations. Chicago is a key city for both tourism and business travel, and this new route will strengthen the ties between both nations,” said Pacheco.

The airline explained that the special “Fly Chicago” promotion, available from August 27 to 31, 2025, offers up to 50% off base fares in Smart, Comfort, or Extra, using the promotional code “FLYCHICAGO.” The applicable travel period will be from November 15, 2025, to March 18, 2026, subject to availability.

Passengers who purchase this offer will be able to travel directly between Chicago and Punta Cana, and will also have the opportunity to connect to Arajet’s robust network of destinations in the region.
