Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026 Set for Antigua and Barbuda in May

The Caribbean’s largest travel trade conference is returning to Antigua and Barbuda next year, with registration now open for Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026, scheduled for May 12–15.
Presented by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association, Caribbean Travel Marketplace is the region’s largest tourism trade forum and a year-round business platform that brings together hospitality and tourism stakeholders from across the Caribbean and key source markets. Now in its 44th year, the event is designed to facilitate direct commercial engagement between buyers and sellers while supporting broader regional collaboration.
Caribbean Travel Marketplace provides hotels, destinations, and tourism businesses with centralized access to decision-makers, including tour operators, wholesalers, and travel advisors, reducing the need for multiple international sales trips. The event combines pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments with networking, destination showcases, and industry programming focused on current market conditions.
According to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association, the Marketplace continues to play a critical role as the region adapts to evolving traveler behavior, policy shifts, and global economic conditions.
“As we look ahead to Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Antigua and Barbuda and build on the momentum of last year’s event,” said CHTA President Sanovnik Destang. “Marketplace remains critical for industry professionals, especially as the region navigates shifting traveler expectations, policy changes, and market trends. Beyond connecting buyers and sellers, we aim to provide attendees with guidance to navigate change and make informed decisions that strengthen the Caribbean’s resilience and competitiveness.”
Antigua and Barbuda last hosted Caribbean Travel Marketplace in 2025, an event that drew broad participation from regional and international tourism partners. The destination’s selection as host again reflects its continued focus on tourism development, airlift growth, and industry engagement.
Local officials say the event delivers both immediate economic impact and longer-term visibility for the destination.
“We are pleased to welcome Caribbean Travel Marketplace back to Antigua and Barbuda,” said Colin C. James, Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. “The event brings direct business to the region while allowing us to showcase the culture, hospitality, and connectivity that define our destination.”
Caribbean Travel Marketplace typically includes several days of structured business appointments, along with media engagement and opportunities for destinations to present new developments, products, and strategies. The event also serves as a forum for regional dialogue on tourism performance, airlift, sustainability, and competitiveness.
