The fifth giant Oasis-class ship has been handed over to Royal Caribbean International ahead of entering into service in the spring.

Wonder of the Seas took three years to build and is due to make its debut sailing from Fort Lauderdale in Florida on March 4 for a series of seven-night Caribbean sailings.

The vessel, capable of carrying almost 7,000 passengers and 2,300 crew, will then reposition to the Mediterranean for the summer to run sailings from Barcelona and Civitavecchia, the port of Rome.

The company took delivery of the ship in Marseille with French with shipyard partner Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
