Rhapsody of the seas celebrates ibero-american culture
Royal Caribbean International returns to Latin America after a decade with Rhapsody of the Seas. To celebrate the first arrival in Colón, Panama, local dancers were present, who brought local folklore to all those present.
Rhapsody of the Seas, the Royal Caribbean International ship that travelers around the world have fallen in love with, has arrived in Panama and Colombia to offer seven-night adventures touring the Caribbean.
The Rhapsody was received in Colón, Panama and Cartagena, Colombia respectively; both being base ports for the season from December 2023 to April 2024. To celebrate the first arrival in Colón, local dancers were present, who brought local folklore to everyone present. All this was sealed with a flourish when the Panamanian authorities presented the captain of the ship with a commemorative plaque that will be placed inside the ship.
The following day, local authorities received Rhapsody in Cartagena as part of the celebrations of the ship’s arrival to “The Country of Beauty”.
Organized by ProColombia, the country’s promotional agency, part of the minister of commerce, industry and tourism, representatives of the minister of tourism, the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Colombia); The cruise terminal and Royal Caribbean participated in a conversation about the popularity and tourist interest of Cartagena and the opportunity of cruise vacations for travelers and the local community.
