Melia strengthens positions in Cuba

An European press agency assured that the Spanish firm Meliá continues to strengthen its position in Cuba with the opening of a new hotel, the Trinidad Peninsula.

The Europa Press agency stated in a recent note that the Trinidad Peninsula opens its doors in one of the most iconic cities in Cuba. He recalled that before the end of 2023 Meliá will also open the Sol Turquesa Beach hotel, thus operating 34 hotels in Cuba

In its note signed in Madrid, EP emphasizes that Meliá Hotels International “continues to strengthen its presence in the main destinations in Cuba and has announced the opening of the new Meliá Trinidad Peninsula, a hotel located in one of the most iconic areas of the country.”

He added that starting in 2024, the hotel company hopes to add three more hotels to its portfolio in the country, highlighting the arrival of the luxury brand The Meliá Collection at the beginning of next year.

Another detail is that Meliá Trinidad Peninsula is located on the beachfront and is just 15 minutes from the historic center of Trinidad, one of the best preserved colonial cities in the Caribbean and declared a World Heritage Site.

“The hotel, surrounded by large outdoor spaces with swimming pools and gardens, has a total of 401 rooms, 80 of them dedicated to the exclusive The Level service, with which guests over 18 years of age can enjoy a more personalized stay, with access to unique spaces and services,” he added

He highlights that Meliá Trinidad Peninsula “also focuses on offering a gastronomic experience with a total of 14 restaurants and bars that offer all types of international cuisine proposals, as well as spaces dedicated to well-being.”

“One of the great bets of the Meliá Trinidad Peninsula is the MICE segment, with four large rooms that have a total capacity of more than 1,400 people. In addition, the hotel has an independent reception area for events and, thanks to its outdoor areas , beach, pool and gardens can be alternative locations to organize events,” he stressed.
