Cuba participates in SIGEP WORLD 2025 Fair with BioCubaCafè
A Cuban delegation is participating in the 46th edition of the International Trade Show of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and the Coffee World (SIGEP WORLD 2025), running from January 18 through 22, 2025 in Rimini, Italy. This world-renowned event brings together industry professionals and provides a showcase for innovations in the artisanal food and beverage sectors.
BioCubaCafè, a joint venture between Grupo Agroforestal de Cuba and the Italian Agency for Economic and Cultural Exchange with Cuba, will present its organic coffee project, highlighting the excellence of the Cuban bean as a sustainable product, according to the company’s Facebook page.
During the fair, coffee tastings prepared by BioCubaCafè specialists will be offered, as well as talks on sustainability and cutting-edge technologies in coffee production. In addition, artistic and cultural initiatives will be presented that highlight the richness of the Cuban tradition in the production of coffee, rum and chocolate.
On the first day of the event, Cuban singer Waldo Mendoza had the opportunity to taste Coladita al Ron, a Santiago de Cuba fermentation resulting from the aging of Extra Turquino coffee, an Arabica coffee grown in the mountains of Granma, Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba.
This is the first rum-aged coffee in the history of the archipelago, thanks to the collaboration with the Santiago de Cuba Rum Factory, which has made available barrels of mother liquor. This exquisite beverage can be enjoyed at Casa Dranguet in Santiago de Cuba.
BioCubaCafé’s participation in SIGEP WORLD 2025 is a unique opportunity to showcase the quality and sustainability of Cuban coffee, as well as to establish commercial alliances and strengthen Cuba’s presence in the international market.
