Cuba for the third time as the Caribbean Cultural Leading Destination

Cuba received for the third consecutive time the award as the Caribbean Cultural Leading Destination by the World Travel Awards, reported the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur).
The Mintur disclosed on Twitter that on August 27, at night, Cuba was awarded for the third consecutive year by the World Travel Awards in the category “Cultural Destination of the Caribbean”, since it offers travelers innumerable attractions with highlights of heritage cities such as Havana. (west), Trinidad (center), and Santiago de Cuba (east).
In addition, there are dance activities of great value such as the son, the rumba and the French tumba, as well as the significant monumental architectural samples in various cities of the nation.
In the fight for the award were also important tourist destinations in the Caribbean such as Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, as well as Trinidad and Tobago.

These awards, founded in 1993, are awarded annually by a jury of accommodation experts and partners, mainly from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), held in London.
Awards are given both globally and at eight international regional levels, in a wide range of categories including hotels, tourist accommodation, tourist attractions and airlines, transportation
The World Travel Awards are considered the Oscars of tourism and this year they celebrated their 30th anniversary, and the opinions of numerous professionals, travelers and scholars from the leisure industry are gathered to award the prizes.
