Arajet to transport more than half a million passengers in the first 6 months of 2024
The Caribbean low-cost airline has reached a new historic record by flying more than half a million passengers in the first six months of the year, the airline reported.
According to data published by the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic (JAC), Arajet flew approximately 399 thousand passengers from January to June, which added to the more than 120 thousand passengers in connections reported by the airline, totals approximately 520 thousand passengers in the first half of the year, which means that this airline has already flown the same number of passengers in just 6 months of 2024 as in all of 2023.
The airline indicated that with these numbers they plan to close 2024 transporting around 1,100,000 passengers, expanding with new routes and the start of operations at the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) as of November 1 of this year, to increase the network of destinations and connections on the continent.
According to the report of the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic on Dominican airline traffic during the month of June, Arajet had the highest passenger movement, resulting in being the most active in its almost two years of operations and representing 79% of all passengers who had movements on Dominican airlines at the different airports in the country.
Arajet reaffirms its commitment to the development of commercial aviation, to continue offering a memorable experience with the highest international standards in its modern and comfortable aircraft.
They said that Dominicans have made it their flagship airline and their main travel option to fly to the 23 destinations where they operate and they also thanked the transit travelers who use this new hub to connect from Canada to the Southern Cone for their trust.
